David T. Peet Adult Scholarship Program
Scholarships of up to $2,000 per year are awarded to qualified residents attending any accredited college, university, community college, or vocation technical school.
Named for CAHEC's former president, the Adult Scholarship Program (ASP) was created to increase gross income earning potential and improve life skills among adult residents. In support of this purpose, CAHEC provides scholarships to pay tuition and other educational expenses.
Since 2000, more than 400 residents from nearly 50 sites have received scholarship money through the Adult Scholarship Program to pursue further education in areas such as early childhood education, nursing, criminal justice, counseling, medical office technology, and information technology. Scholarship recipients have enrolled in more than 100 educational institutions throughout the CAHEC footprint.

This resident used the scholarship to earn a master's degree in education.
