Resources

Links To Area Resources

As a result of CAHEC's five year partnership with AmeriCorps, CAHEC has come to appreciate the importance of having information about local resources right at the fingertips of supportive service coordinators and site managers.

In an effort to connect site personnel with resources in their local community, CAHEC has put together a list of regional and state-wide information and referral sources. While each agency is different, some examples of resources they include are:

  • Emergency financial assistance
  • Mental health counseling
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Discounted computers
  • Transportation to medical appointments
  • Mentorship programs
  • Academic tutoring
  • Homeownership classes
  • School supplies
  • Employment opportunities
  • Legal advice
  • Food pantries
  • Summer camps
  • Literacy services
