With ribbon cutting ceremony, Glasgow Graded School joins Liberty School Apartments as housing for seniors

Project details: Built in 1927 to serve as Glasgow's primary school, this adaptive reuse project now provides 23 units of secure housing for seniors earning less than 60 percent of the area median income. The developer restored the building's original hardwood flooring, windows, and woodwork. Modern conveniences include washers and dryer in each unit, ceiling fans, and emergency pullcords. The property provides four fully accessible units. Glasgow Graded School shares a campus with AU Associates' Liberty School Apartments, another CAHEC-financed mixed-income property that opened to seniors in 2005.
