Financial Statement Format

The financial statement format has been created to promote consistent reporting among all operating partnership financial reports. It is imperative that you adhere to this format. All applicable footnotes in the guide should appear in your financial statements. CAHEC's Asset Management Department will be utilizing your financial statements to analyze the operations of all operating partnerships, and must have all operating partnership financial statements consistent in order to perform this task successfully.

Minimum Gain Calculation Spreadsheet

The Minimum Gain Calculation Spreadsheet has been created to assist you in preparing the tax return. Use of this spreadsheet is not mandatory, but rather is available for your use or as a tool to compare with your methods of calculation.


Schedule of Reporting Deadlines for Projects Receiving an Audit and Tax Return

Tax Return and Schedule K-1's—February 15, 2010

On or before the above-mentioned deadline, forward a copy of your completed draft tax return to Dixon Hughes PLLC and CAHEC. Also please send your calculation of federal, AMT, and ACE depreciation, if applicable. Do not file the tax return with the Internal Revenue Service until you have received authorization from Dixon Hughes PLLC. A final copy of your tax return will be required by February 28, 2010.

Draft Audited Financial Statements—February 15, 2010

On or before the above-mentioned deadline, forward a copy of your DRAFT audited financial statements and the selected work papers referred to in the Back-up Requirements Checklist for Audits to Dixon Hughes PLLC.

Audited Financial Statements—March 1, 2010

On or before the above-mentioned deadline, forward a copy of your unbound audited financial statements to Dixon Hughes PLLC. Please do not finalize the audit until you have received authorization from CAHEC.

and Tax Return

Tax Return and Schedule K-1's—February 15, 2010
